Hello, my babies!! I hope everyone is healthy and safe with everything that has been going on recently. I am very awkward with my intros and honestly have no idea what to say or how to transition into what we are all here for so, I am just going to dive right in today, hehe.
Today, I have four ways you can style your bicycle shorts this summer. Let us avoid further awkwardness and get right to it.
#1 Oversized T-shirt
For the first look, I am using my favorite oversized T-shirt to pair it with these shorts. The reason you should use an oversized t-shirt rather than something that fits well is to add dimension. Simply tuck the t-shirt in and pair the outfit with Dr.Martens(basically any boots that look like Dr.Martens work) or pair of closed toes shoes. Add accessories such as “boujee” chains and a bag to elevate the look. You can style your hair the way you want, and it will fit the look. I guarantee it.
#2 Windbreaker
For the second look, I paired my tube top with the shorts to add dimension and then threw on a windbreaker. If your shorts are of a solid color, color coordination might be more natural for you than mine. You could always replace the tube top with a bodysuit if that is more comfortable and flattering to your body type. Do what fits best for you. I used the same accessories and shoes for this look with a little length bag; it gives a retro feel.
#3 Demin T-shirt with a front knot
The third look is what I call the “look at me, I workout” look. It will make you look as if you just hit the gym, and you are now running errands, and I love that! For this look, all you need is the same tube top and a denim button-down shirt. If your shorts were black or of a solid color, you could match the top with the shorts and go crazy with the shirt’s choice. You can also replace the tube top with a bodysuit if that is more comfortable. Like I said before, be you! You could use the same accessories or opt not to use any. Either way, work. For shoes, I paired my outfit with high tops and high raised socks to give it the “gym look” and added a crossbody bag with sunglasses.
#4 Denim Jacket
For the last look, my favorite from this collection, all you need are the same things with a slight variation; the denim jacket. I paired the tube top with the shorts and the boots and threw on a “baggy” denim jacket. If your jacket isn’t baggy or oversized, don’t panic, either way, works, baggier look a just little more flattering (emphasis on the just) and adds dimension. Accessories like usual and throw on a crossbody bag with glasses and preferably tie your hair in a low bun or mid-rise ponytail for a classier look.
Most of the stuff I used in this blog has been used before. If you guys need help finding anything or have questions, feel free to ask me!! I hope I made sense, hehe.
Just remember, you are doing this for you, and nothing is more important than being yourself. So, BE YOU :’)
