HELLO!! First things first, I am sorry for being very – very inactive for the last few months. Life hit me in the face like a truck, and it took me a while to recover, but I am BACK and doing a little better than before!! I will try being as active as I can. No promises. You never know, life might hit me with a bigger truck sometime soon; BUT, I am here, and I plan on staying for a little longer. So get ready, because this is going to be FUN :’)
I don’t know if the title gave away too much. Still, today, I am going to be recreating a few natural celebrity looks using things from the closet. All of the clothing articles I used should already be in your closet, and if you don’t have one, it is readily available in a thrift store. If you are not comfortable with thrifting, DON’T WORRY, because you can buy them at any other store, and it is CHEAP! So, lets just dive in! (BUT PLEASE, DON’T LEAVE YOUR HOUSES UNTIL THE PANDEMIC IS OVER)
For the first look, I was inspired by this casual, lazy, and comfortable look wore by Selena Gomez. Its warm, comfy, and honestly just makes her look like she has her life together (which she does, no questions there).
When I was recreating this look, I realized I didn’t have a fuzzy jacket, but then I realized, “I really don’t need one.” The biggest take away from this that pairing your joggers with a turtle neck does the trick. Pairing any jacket with a turtleneck automatically will amplify your outfit without you having to try very hard. For the bottoms, you could pair with either joggers or with leggings, but make sure they match. Its easier to pair a jacket with black since it forms a solid base and reduces thinking time. And if you don’t have a black turtleneck, you should buy one!
I then took my favorite windbreaker and slipped it on. For the second look, I put on an over-sized cardigan, so it would give me a messy casual but a more elegant look. For accessories, I kept it simple and put on hoops, just like Selena did. To finish the look, pair them with your favorite sneakers and your backpack and make sure not to carry them like her. (I am not attacking her, I promise)
For the next few looks, I took inspiration from Hailey Bieber. For this one, all you need is an oversized button-down shirt and shorts. It is that simple.
For this look, the main things to keep in mind are:
- The shirt needs to be oversized, and you need to button down until your shorts start.
- The colors need to match: I didn’t have a white shirt, so I went for a darker pallet when compared to Hailey. She chose a lighter color pallet by pairing a white shirt with blue denims, but I chose darker colors.
- To complete the look, you need long socks(which I couldn’t find) and sneakers.
- But if the look is not your style(looking at the picture on the right bottom) and you want to add dimensions, tuck in the shirt from one side and pair the whole outfit with some boots. (the first picture)
- For accessories, keeping it simple is the best thing to do!
Next,
This one is straightforward and quite self-explanatory. You just needΒ cycling shorts(https://bit.ly/2X0PopK) and an oversized t-shirtΒ or sweatshirt. SomeΒ shoes, messy hair, and you are good to go. You can pair this withΒ longer socksΒ to giveΒ more depthΒ to your outfit like Hailey did, but make sure to color coordinate well.Β
Depending on the occasion, you can pair this outfit with different jewelry. If you are going for something casual, keep it simple. Put on a dog tag and pair it with simple earrings. When dressing for something a little fancy, wear a layered necklace (https://bit.ly/3aDFYnY) to elevate your look. Something like this:
This is one of my favorite looks. It is very comfortable, and it only takes about a few minutes to put together. All you need is your favorite tank top or crop top and lose straight-legged jeans. I found my jeans at a thrift store since these were very famous back in the day and are not found in almost any thrift store you go to. If you are not comfortable with thrifting, ask your father for his old jeans. Then adjust the waist according to your waist size, and that will work perfectly fine as well!
All you need to do is, wear your tank top with the jeans and you are good to go. I wore an orange bralette to add color and layers to my outfit. For accessories, I took my crossbody bag and reduced its length to make the outfit stand out more. As you can see, it does work better with a wider strap; hence I decided to put on my shoulder instead of wearing it across my body!
The next look is my absolute favorite look.
For this look, I used everything from the other ones. All you need is a flannel, a crop top/ bralette, straight-legged jeans/boyfriend jeans, and some boots. The main point to remember is that:
- The flannel needs to oversized
- The color of the crop top(I got mine from SHEIN) and the jeans need to be lighter than the flannel or vice versa. Or something in contrast.
- Don’t go too crazy with the accessories. The simpler, the better
- You could wear a belt, but it honestly would be a little distracting.
- For shoes, you could wear boots if you have some, if not, wear close-toed heels or your favorite sneakers. They will all work!
I hope y’all enjoyed these outfits, and please do let me know what did you guys think.
